About Reeder Transportation
Reeder Transportation Training Center (RTTC) was founded by Elizabeth Reeder. Elizabeth is an accomplished transportation professional with over 20 years of experience. She is a State of Illinois Safety Officer, an Illinois State School Bus Initial Training Curriculum Instructor and is qualified in setting up Illinois Department of Transportation records for CDL drivers.
RTTC, which was opened in 1996, is believed to be the first defensive driving training center for school bus drivers. Elizabeth got the idea when she realized that bus drivers from small companies and small school districts did not receive the same amount of training as drivers employed by larger nationwide companies.
Elizabeth says "Our goal is to help all drivers become the best and safest drivers possible."
Many school districts in Illinois are able to seek reimbursement from the State of Illinois for services provided by RTTC. This includes not only RTTC's two-day course, but also the new Mirror Alignment Station Stencil.
RTTC believes in classroom training and hands-on experience so much that Elizabeth actually travels to where the clients are visiting each school district to personally teach the course. While, the defensive driving course is targeted for school bus drivers, it is available to drivers of all types of vehicles.
